San Sebastian, Andres de Concha, Oaxaca Cathedral
The following images are from the the Retablo in the Dominican Church of San Juan Bautista, Coixtlahuaca, Oaxaca, Mexico, built before 1576. The original Retablo was built and painted by Andres de Concha following the completion of the building. The current retablo is much later, but retains his original paintings and some fragments of the original woodwork. Other architectural elements of the original retablo are scattered throughout various store rooms. These images were taken in 1995.
